This lick is very similiar to something Steve Vai would play. One thing Mr. Vai is, is very melodic. A lot of his licks really stick out. He is a clever and fast player, but its his melodies that are great.
He can tap, tweak, be very expressive on the guitar. but he's a great player. So try this lick on for size and check back in with me for more licks in this months issue.
